It’s true what they say; when you become an adult, the seasons lose almost all of their meaning. Once I’d be dreading the return to school, now it’s just another Monday. But hey, Mondays mean deals, right?
There’s 287 products on sale for Steam’s weekly deals this week. Notable inclusions are:
Magicka – 75% off, for $2.49
Disgaea PC – 25% off, for $14.99
As a sort of “back to school” sale, Green Man Gaming has deals on Humongous Entertainment games, going up to 80% off (though, remember, you need to log in now to get full discounts). Y’know, Putt-Putt. Pajama Sam, Freddi Fish and all that. I don’t know how educational I’d call them, but I liked them when I was a kid, so if you’ve got kids and want something to entertain them for an hour, there you go.
GamersGate is in the midst of an End-of-Summer sale until August 25th, with deals on both big name triple-A games and little tiny games no one has ever heard of. Also, they’ve started a midweek sale for Devolver Digital games, including Hotline Miami, The Talos Principle, and Broforce, to name a few.
Bundle Stars’ big summer sale is almost over, but for the final two days of the sale, they’ve brought back all of their biggest deals. If the sale filter on the site’s search is to be believed, there are about 500 products on sale, from indies to big boys. I picked up a cheap copy of Mortal Kombat X, myself, even if the PC version is objectively worse.
Here’s something different. Bandai Namco is hosting a sale of their own on their digital storefront. If you’ve got a hankering for anime games, Dragonball Xenoverse, One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm, and Tales of Zestiria are all on sale.
Nintendo is having an end of summer sale on the eShop for both 3DS and Wii U games (but mostly 3DS games). There are discounts on The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Rayman Legends, and Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, to name a few.
Last week’s new Humble Bundle, the Humble Indie Bundle 17, has been updated with three more games. In addition to the games you’d already get from beating the average, you will now also receive Hexcells Complete Pack, Expand, and Regency Solitaire. If you already bought the bundle and beat the average, you’ll receive those games for free.
In addition, in a first for Humble, the first PS3 Humble Bundle has just begun: the Humble Capcom Playstation Bundle. Pay $1 or more, and you’ll receive Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3, STRIDER, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Final Fight Double Impact, and a coupon for the PS Store for 45% off of Street Fighter V. Beat the average (which, at time of writing, is $11.17), and you’ll receive those games, plus Lost Planet 3, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, Resident Evil HD, Okami HD, Remember Me, and a combo pack of Mega Man 9 & 10. Pay $15 or more, and you’ll receive all of that stuff, plus Resident Evil 0 Remastered, Devil May Cry HD Collection, and a coupon for the PS Store for 50% off Mega Man Legacy Collection. The majority of the games are PS3 only, though STRIDER, Resident Evil HD, and Resident Evil 0 Remastered can be claimed on either PS3 or PS4.
Check back later in the week, and maybe there’ll be something new!
