Cuphead Receives Gameplay Trailer

Teased at E3 back in 2014, retro-cartoon style game Cuphead, developed by Studio MDHR, is edging closer to the end of its development. While the game was originally designed as a “boss rush” style game, in which each stage would be different boss fight, a new trailer posted today has revealed that the game now has normal platforming levels, with gameplay reminiscent of classic run-and-gun games like Contra or Gunstar Heroes. There’s no confirmed release date yet, but the game will be shown at E3 next week, and will be releasing sometime later this year on Xbox One and PC.

Personally, I love Gunstar Heroes and old Mickey Mouse cartoons, so I’ve been hankering to play this game for a while now. Hopefully, some more new footage will pop up at E3.
