Bethesda has announced that mod support for the console versions of Fallout 4 will be rolling out in the next couple of months, in addition to the Creation Kit for the PC version, which allows for the creation of mods and general tinkering with the game. The Xbox One version will receive support in May, and the PS4 version will receive support in June. Any mods created in the PC version can be shared across all consoles via Bethesda’s website.
If you’re interesting in trying out the Creation Kit right now, you can opt in to the beta on Steam. Go to Fallout 4 in your Steam library, right click it, click “properties”, and go to “betas” to opt in.
I’ve been tinkering with Fallout 4 mods a bit myself, but it’ll be nice to have an official medium to get them from, as well as streamlined tinkering for mod creators.
