Madden 17 is Off to a Bad Start Even Before it’s Released

While EA is living the dream at Gamescom, the most loyal fans of Madden 17 are feeling the burn.

A good portion of Madden fanatics have most likely pre-ordered Electronic Sports iconic football game Madden 17. For those who don’t plan on trading it in anytime soon will likely just purchase the downloadable game from the Xbox Store. And of course, with EA Access, gamers can play it a few days early for a limited amount of time. Sadly, this is where things get a little dicey.

It appears that most of the fanatics that pre-ordered Madden 17, can’t play the trial version. If you go into EA Access and click on the trial version of Madden 17, it reroutes you to the Xbox Store. If you click ‘Play’, you will be greeted with a message that says “You’re too early” meaning that you can’t play it until the official launch date.

This currently only affects pre-order purchases. Anyone who as not pre-ordered will be able to access Madden 17 trial with no issues. This will for sure hurt Madden pre-order sales in the future. As the saying goes, Fool me once, shame on you….

Currently, the only resolution is to create a new account and purchase EA Access again for the monthly $5 dollar fee.

Sadly, EA Sports has yet to send a response on how this issue will get resolved. Based on the lack of communication, one would wonder if they even cared. After all, they already have your money.madimage_1.img
